York Bourgeois, a senior at Francis Parker School in California, won the Division 5 boys title at the CIF San Diego Section Championships by covering the 3-mile layout in 15:11.8 at Balboa Park's Morley Field. Bourgeois, who finished second last season in 15:16.3, helped Francis Parker capture the team title with a 55-62 victory against Calvin Christian.
