[Ramona] Bulldog boys harriers take eighth at CIF meetPublished by
By Joe Naiman Ramona High School’s boys cross country team placed eighth among the 19 Division III teams at the CIF San Diego Section meet Nov. 23 at Morley Field in San Diego. “It was okay. Some of the runners ran really well, and some didn’t have it,” said Head Coach Steve Albanese. Cross country team scores are derived by adding the positions of a school’s first five finishers. Ramona had 217 points. The third-place team, and thus the final state meet team qualifier, was Del Norte High School. The Nighthawks accumulated 97 points. “Even if they had run what they were capable of running we still wouldn’t have made the state meet. We weren’t strong enough up front,” Albanese said.
