The Poway High, Rancho Bernardo and Del Norte girls cross country teams all qualified for the state meet and five local boys advanced with their performances at Saturday’s CIF San Diego Section championships at Morley Field.

The Titans’ girls team had four finishers in the top 20 in the Division II race, led by Sophie Smith’s third-place finish in 16-minutes, 30-seconds on the 2.75-mile course. Freshman Alex Calegari came in eighth-place in 16:48, while Hannah Schwartz (15th, 17:04) and Savannah Santiago (19th, 17:12) rounded out the top four for Poway.
